About Me
My passion is providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals, couples, and families, can experience quality, ethical, counseling services. I specialize in working with individuals and couples struggling in their relationships, whether with themselves, their partner, family members, or others. Working collaboratively with my clients, I provide support and guidance as they explore patterns that do not move them closer to where they'd like to be, heal from trauma, and learn and implement new, practical tools which align with their beliefs, values, and needs. Some of my specialty areas include codependency, setting and maintaining boundaries, communication, work in recovery, and betrayal trauma. I enjoy working with individuals that struggle with codependency and navigating their engagement in unhealthy relationships, and with couples where both partners are ready and willing to participate in changing patterns and dynamics to improve communication, trust, and begin new relational chapters.

I have been married to my husband for over 20 years, am a mother to two children that live on Earth with us and 3 Heavenly children, am a child of an addict and in recovery, and serve as a ministry leader. These areas of life have allowed me to have a deeper understanding of some of the difficulties that we experience in relationships, trauma, loss, recovery and leadership. Doing individual work can be scary and difficult on its own and adding these components make it more complex and are often connected.

I have extensive training in many areas relating to relationship dynamics and trauma that allow me to tailor treatment to each individual/couple to meet their specific needs. Work can only be done at an advanced level when the environment is safe and secure which is my top priority in the room and in the relationship. Counseling with me may include looking at the past experiences and how these may have influenced or help shape beliefs, values, and relational patterns, healing wounds that exist from trauma(s), and practical tools that my clients can practice day to day to form new awareness and, in time, new patterns and a new normal.
